Hi hi hi family!!!! I am sorry if this email is short and boring today! We are heading out in just a few minutes to the coast of Slovenia where we can see Italy. We will spend the day there and I promise LOTS of pictures next week! SO please forgive me!
This week I felt the spirit stronger than I ever have before. The first time was in zone conference! It was SOOOO good! Honestly, I don't really remember what was taught, but I remember writing down my impressions and stopping to realize how strongly I was feeling the spirit. I have an amazing mission president who knew how to invite the spirit to that meeting. Two Elders have finished their 2 years here and are heading home in a week and they bore their testimonies and gave us new kids hope. It was such a cool meeting and definitely led by the spirit. I felt so inspired and uplifted after! At zone conference I got a package from home. I felt so much love as I pulled out of this box things from home that I knew my mom or dad were inspired to send me. Only my mom would send me pasta salad. Mom, you have no idea how much that meant to me. It tasted SOOO good! The smell of it alone brought back so many memories! While eating some sour watermelon candy, the memory of my first night in the MTC when I ate some after doing something really hard and I remember feeling so much love from my dad and that again happened this time. Every single thing in my package was perfect! It was sincerely an answer to prayers! My rain shoes made it just in time for this flood week! I looked awesome the next day with all my waterproof stuff! Nothing will stop this work haha. Probably my favorite thing to pull out of my package was the conference addition of the Ensign magazine! I was SO excited to see it tucked under my favorite treats! I have read the whole thing and some talks 2 or 3 times already!!! I brought with me some Ensigns from home and I have them memorized... no literally! Ask me about a talk and I know what page it is on hahahha. I LOVE talks! They are so inspired! So getting some new talks to study was perfect. It made my whole week! Thank you SO much mom and dad for going out of your way to make someone in Celje Slovenia so happy.
Celje is underwater I think haha. It has rained non-stop for 5 days... day and night! It was beautiful but wet haha. I enjoyed it because I have a wonderful rain coat and waterproof shoes and a rockin' umbrella but still I was soaking wet every day when we went home. It was a good week for making memories! We spent a ton of time tracting this week! We went to this village about a 45 min walk away and tracted for 6 hours there. It was so cute! And all the homes were filled with children. I was praying in my mind to have a sign that God was aware of where we were and that we were where he wanted us to be tracting... and about 5 min later I saw a peonie flower, which is my favorite! I felt my Savior's love! I saw the Lord's hand in my life because I was seeking it! If I hadn't been seeking, I might have missed that tender mercy.
If you get some time, go read "Is it Still Wonderful to You" from this last general conference. The man who gave it visited the MTC 2 times while I was there and gave some of the most powerful talks! The talk is about how we take for granted what we have from the gospel! It is so true! As I look into the eyes of anyone I meet on the street and share with them these simple truths, because it is all I can say in their language, and feel a burning desire for them to have this in their lives... I realize just how precious this gospel is to me. Every single aspect is so wonderful. I wish I could expound more but time is short. Go read the talk and sincerely think about whether or not this gospel is still wonderful to you!! Recognize the Lord's hand this week and you will notice how blessed you are from every aspect of this amazing gospel.
I have felt so much love this week! From my mom and dad at home. from others praying for me. From my Mission President and senior couple... from my district, from my wonderful companion from the branch members, from my investigators, from the little kids who follow us around on the street... but most importantly my Savior. I have grown to understand that not only is He aware of my situation, but He is by my side. I have felt His love more strongly than ever before in this last week. I love my mission! I am so happy! I hope you all have a great week! I will send LOTS of pictures from Piran and Koper Slovenia next week! I love you all!
