Hi family!! Just another letter from the happiest missionary in the world. I love this work. I love every single sacrifice every day to develop more love for the people here and strengthen my relationship with my Savior. So much change happened this week and I can not find the words to put it into an email... so sorry.
I LOVE MARIBOR!!! On Tuesday, I drove Sister R. to her new home and after a heartfelt goodbye Sister Redding and I drove to Kranj. I don't like driving because I love looking out the windows because SLOVENIA IS BEAUTIFUL!!! The fall colors are just stunning. I love it here. So we drove to Kranj and then back to Celje where Sister C. was waiting for me. It was a long old day as Sister R. and I had to move all our stuff down the spiral staircases and then the long drives and everything... BUT! We got to my new home in time to get some groceries and go to bed. My first day in Maribor was amazing. I felt the Spirit the entire time so strongly confirming that I AM SUPPOSED TO BE HERE!!!!! I love it! It is huge and rather intimidating sometimes. I am still lost probably 90% of the time. But it is a good lost. There is always someone to talk to! I love that! and young people! This is a university town! I can not express my love for Maribor! Everyone knows I am from Celje because of my accent haha but I love when people say I am from Celje. I am learning slowly to change to the Maribor ways.
Our apartment is much smaller. I sleep on the top bunk. Everything here is a walk. I am used to the church being 3 minutes away... here it is a beautiful 20 minute walk through center. We take public transportation only for getting out to the little villages to tract. Train or bus. It is still Slovenia and built for walking. I don't know how to explain it haha. But it is huge and still so cute and so Slovene.
I love my new companion. We work really well together. We both used to play soccer, so for workouts every morning we go running to a park and then play around for a little while and then run back. We both love Slovenia and love being missionaries, so that is good haha. I wish I had words today but I am struggling haha. She is so cool! I love her! I am very happy.
My favorite thing about this place is that it is FULL of God's children! We are seeking miracles this transfer. I was reading in "Preach My Gospel" about how to find people. I know one of the best ways to find people who need the gospel is to show them God's love for them. We can do that through service. We have started seeking opportunities to serve people. It has been amazing! And we are already seeing people's hearts soften. SO! I have a challange for you all. If you really love the Lord and this gospel, you will find a way to accept. Pray to know of someone in your area who needs service. (Maybe a meal or bread or raked leaves or simply a note) THEN! Invite the missionaries in your area to join you in the service. First off, it is an opportunity for missionaries to meet those who we might not have found otherwise. Second, it is what we believe! We believe in serving others! So it is a great way to introduce your friends to the missionaries. Go read in "Preach My Gospel" the promises that come from doing service and there will be no way you won't want to help the work along. TAKE PHOTOS! and send them to me before November 7th. I cannot wait to hear about the work back home.
I love you all! Have a really good week!
