Hi family.
Let me tell you about my week.
I am very happy! I have been serving the past 7 days with two incredible missionaries who are going home today: Sister P. and Sister W. I remember a talk from two conferences ago when Elder Bednar said he was humbled by serving with men much older than him and their wise words touched him. That is how it has been to serve with these two. The spirit they had in everything we did this week was so cool. I just kind of sat back and learned for a week. Watching them teach and contact... it was a really cool week. I am so thankful for their examples of what a missionary going home should look like, talk like, and be like. They both have become really wonderful disciples of Christ here in the Balkans.
Apart from that this week, I have been informed of God’s expectations for me haha. I will have a LOT of responsibility this next transfer. I am excited and terrified at the same time.
One thing I have really come to learn about on my mission is commitment... God doesn’t want me to follow the white hand book rules to make me miserable. The point of that little book is to show our commitment to the Lord and His will. I don’t understand everything, but this is what HE asked. He is testing our commitment.
I have never had my commitment to Him tested more than these past few months. Leaving Slovenia alone was QUITE a test... and this transfer is like the final. When I applied to go on a mission, I said I will go where you want me to go. I will say (or speak the language) that you want me to say. I will BE who you want me to BE. I feel the test of my commitment and I want Him to know that I am committed.
I am excited for this transfer. I am excited for the opportunity to grow! Every day this next transfer I will be showing my Savior and Father my love and dedication to them in everything I do. I know they are watching me very closely.
Thank you for your prayers. I love each of you.
